13-Day Bush to Beach Safari

On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport you are met by your private transfer driver for a warm meet-and-greet, then transferred to your first hotel in Arusha for check-in, dinner and overnight — a gentle landing before the adventure begins.

After breakfast, meet your private safari driver-guide and custom 4x4 and head for Lake Manyara National Park. A morning game drive with picnic lunch at the lakeside, then an afternoon drive until evening among flamingos, tree-climbing lions and elephant herds beneath the Rift Valley wall.

A new phase of adventure: drive towards the endless plains of the Serengeti with packed lunch. The afternoon game drive rolls through the cat's paradise of the central Serengeti until you reach camp at dusk.

A full day in the Serengeti. Morning game drive, lunch back at camp, then an afternoon drive until late evening — or opt for a full-day drive with packed lunch and unhurried hours among lion prides, cheetahs and the great herds.

Another day deep in the park — morning and afternoon game drives with lunch at camp. Today also offers the Serengeti's signature indulgence: a dawn hot-air balloon safari drifting over the plains, or a sundowner cocktail as the light turns gold (both at additional cost).

Drive from the Serengeti to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area with packed lunch, game-viewing en route through both ecosystems and visiting a Maasai cultural village along the way. Arrive in the late evening at your lodge perched on the crater rim.

Descend at first light onto the crater floor — the world's largest intact caldera — for a half-day crater tour with packed breakfast among black rhino, lion and vast herds. By late noon, climb out and drive to your lodge in Karatu for lunch

After breakfast, drive towards Tarangire National Park via Mto wa Mbu for a village tour and a traditional local lunch. In the afternoon, continue into Tarangire with an evening game drive en route to your lodge among the baobabs.

A full day in Tarangire, exploring the park’s vast landscapes, ancient baobabs, and impressive elephant herds. Enjoy a morning game drive before returning to the lodge for a hot lunch and a short break. In the afternoon, head back into the park for another game drive, making the most of the cooler hours and beautiful late-afternoon light.

Drive back to Arusha with packed lunch for the scheduled flight to Zanzibar (1210/1400, subject to change). On arrival, our ground team transfers you to your beach hotel. En route options include a Stone Town tour or spice-farm visit; Safari Blue, Jozani Forest and snorkeling can be arranged during your stay.

Two full days at leisure on Zanzibar's powder-white beaches — swim, sail, spa, or simply do nothing at all. Optional excursions include Stone Town, spice farms, Prison Island, Safari Blue and dolphin tours at Mnemba or Mangapwani.

After breakfast, check out (around 10:00, per hotel policy) and transfer to Zanzibar International Airport for your flight to Dar es Salaam, connecting home — sun-warmed, dust-dusted and full of stories.
