Machame’s six-day camping route combines varied scenery with separate ascent and descent trails. The climb moves through Machame, Shira, Barranco and Barafu before Uhuru Peak and the Mweka descent. Professional mountain crew, safety equipment and altitude-focused meals are included.
One of the most scenic routes on the mountain, entirely justified — sweeping views across the Masai Steppe to Meru and the impressive Barranco Valley. Ascent and descent take different paths, keeping the trail feeling wild.
8 days door-to-door. 5 nights on the mountain. Full camping.
