Who we are
Africa Bound Tours is a Tanzanian safari company with its office in Arusha, the town where most northern safaris begin. Ambrose Mtui leads the team and has 20 years of experience in safari and mountain travel.
When you write to us, the reply comes from the team in Arusha that will run your trip. The same people plan the days, book the lodges, brief your guide and meet you when you land.
What we plan
Most of our trips are private safaris on the northern circuit: the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire and Lake Manyara. We also run climbs on Kilimanjaro, and many travellers finish with a few days on Zanzibar. A few itineraries cross the border into Kenya for the Maasai Mara or Amboseli.
The sample itineraries show what a trip can look like. None of them is fixed. Tell us what matters to you and we will rework the days around it.
How a trip comes together
- You tell us who is travelling, roughly when, and what you would like to see. The trip request form takes a few minutes.
- We reply with a first itinerary and a quote.
- We change it until it fits: more time in one park, a different lodge, an extra night at the end.
- Your guide meets you on arrival and stays with you for the whole safari.
On safari with us
Safaris run privately in a 4x4 Land Cruiser with a roof that lifts for game viewing and photography. You can see the vehicles on our vehicles page.
We book lodges and tented camps to suit your budget. Each itinerary lists what the price includes and what it leaves out, so you can compare it fairly with other quotes.
