Day by Day Overview

Karibu and Welcome to Tanzania. This day you will arrive from Kilimanjaro International Airport and your guide will be there with a sign waiting to warmly greet you and take you to your accommodation of choice. Your Adventure will always begin with a briefing about your trip where you’ll be given an orientation and information on what to expect.

Come and experience the cultures from the people lives in the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro. Meet friendly people and Discover Shooting beautiful scenarios which are not to be found anywhere around Africa. Visit the most exciting areas for cultural and Recreational walking as Materuni village. Also this walking is very important for acclimatization before and after hiking the Mt.Kilimanjaro and those from long safari. In this Tour you will have chance to visit a beautiful waterfall. The music from the waterfalls and radiant colors of the valley makes one to feel the nature beauty and peace of this magnificent natural site. Also you can have a chance to swim in so don’t forget your swimming costume. From the blessed presence of the fertile volcanic soils on the slopes of Mt. Kilimanjaro majority of villagers are subsistence farmers, practicing cultivation on crops like coffee, banana, beans, yams potatoes etc. Take a walk through coffee farms and visit a local home where you will learn the whole process of preparing coffee in tradition way from beans to cup and then you will enjoy a delicious cup of Kilimanjaro coffee. Have a cup of homemade coffee with our local people.

This day has you experiencing what it would be like to try and summit Kilimanjaro. This towering and picturesque mountain is not only the tallest mountain in Africa, but also the highest freestanding mountain in the world at 5,895 m (19,341 ft).It’s a beautiful day spent going up to the first camp on the Marangu trail. Must be able to trek for 5-8 hrs. Depending on your speed and after this you will head to Arusha for your overnight.

On your first day of many stunning game drives, you will start with Tarangire National Park. Tarangire is the 6th largest Tanzanian Park famously known for its largest concentration of Elephants, Baobab trees and magnificent scenery. After 30 minutes at the national park gate for formal registrations, we embark on a game drive until evening where you will be transferred to the accommodation for dinner and overnight

The Serengeti was voted the #1 Safari destination in the world for a reason! Its majestic and awe-inspiring beauty is definitely something one should experience in their lifetime. You will be blessed with panoramic views, amazing wildlife and spectacular photos! Serengeti is also the last natural grazing ecosystem in the world. The Great Migration, said to be the “greatest wildlife show on Earth” is best seen during June – September (although all year round there is something amazing to see).

You can never spend too much time seeing the vast grandeur of the Serengeti. You should get plenty of opportunities to see the Big 5 (Lion, Elephant, Cape buffalo, Leopard, and White/Black Rhinoceros)

Wake up early morning before breakfast and go for your last game drive in Serengeti. We’ll return to your Camp at around noon for a brunch (breakfast and lunch), thereafter start driving to the Ngorongoro crater. En route, we’ll pass by the Olduvai/Oldupai Gorge, a place made famous by Dr. Leakey and his wife, a very important paleoanthropological site. Olduvai Gorge is a site in Tanzania that holds the earliest evidence of the existence of human ancestors. Paleoanthropologists have found hundreds of fossilized bones and stone tools in the area dating back millions of years, leading them to conclude that humans evolved in Africa. This day you will be based at the crater rim overlooking the crater floor.

About 20 kms across, 600 meters deep and 300 sq kms in area, the Ngorongoro Crater is a breathtaking natural wonder and also known as the “cradle of humankind”. The Ngorongoro Crater is the largest unbroken caldera in the world and boasts the most diverse group of animals anywhere. You will have magnificent views while descending the crater floor. We’ll have a wonderful picnic lunch in the afternoon, and later drive towards Lake Eyasi.

Included: Datoga – Datoga tribe is famous for their blacksmithing. You will get an opportunity to watch and learn how they convert iron into various useful and ornamental items.

We start with an early morning to locate the nomadic Hadzabe society. It’s hard to imagine that a culture still exists that depends on roaming the land for food. They are in constant search of wild fruits, wild meat and roots. You’ll have an amazing opportunity to go hunting with them if you want and try your luck with a bow and arrow!
After, we will start heading back to Arusha with a lunch break at Mto wa Mbu.

On this day after breakfast you will do a city tour with your guide. You will get time to learn about Arusha city and its people. Also you will visit Tanzanite Museum .You will leave Arusha and embark on your journey home. We will drop you off to Kilimanjaro International Airport in time for your flight.
